And let me tell you—it was perfect.  Watching the fog roll across the barn floor at the perfect time as Chelsea and Darrin moved in the center of the room gave everyone chills. It felt like a scene from a gothic romance novel and our entire team was taken back by the entire experience. Their dedicated wedding guests, already dressed in near-theatrical looks (from steampunk fashion to gothic glam—one even had red contacts!), cheered them on like a crowd that came ready  to celebrate. Michelle and Tate’s wedding on May 25, 2025, was a shining example of how honoring and blending family traditions can turn a celebration into something truly unforgettable for every guest and our staff included. Their wedding day at Celestial Farms was not just a union of two people—it was a vibrant celebration beautifully blending Filipino and Mexican heritage. The day was filled with so much joy, meaningful symbolism, and tons of love. We were honored to witness their two families come together weaving cultural elements and Mexican and Filipino wedding traditions throughout both the outdoor wedding ceremony and barn reception in ways that reflected their family values and their shared future together. 🌿 Ceremony Mexican and Filipino Wedding Traditions Rooted in Heritage Veil and Cord Ceremony One of the most touching parts of Michelle and Tate’s wedding ceremony was the veil and cord tradition. A ceremonial lace veil and white cord were gently draped over their shoulders at the altar. In both Filipino and Mexican cultures, this tradition symbolizes unity, protection, and the couple’s commitment to walk through life together. Nacho Libre Wrestling Now this was a first at Celestial Farms —and along with every guest, we LOVED it! Inspired by Mexican pop culture and family fun, but not a widely recognized tradition, Michelle and Tate added a playful wrestling inspired moment reminiscent of “Nacho Libre.” Complete with masks and a lighthearted vibe, it had everyone at Celestial Farms- guests and staff- cheering, laughing, and reaching for their phones.
