Clio, Michigan—in Thetford Township is where our roots run deep. This is where my husband and I grew up, where our family built a horse farm, and where life forever changed after we tragically lost our parents. In many ways, Celestial Farms became more than a business. It became part of our healing process. It gave our family a purpose, a way to build something beautiful from heartbreak, and a legacy centered around love instead of loss.
Today, every wedding held here at Celestial Farms creates a ripple effect that reaches far beyond our Michigan wedding venue.
Recently, we had the privilege of giving back in a way that reminded us exactly why we do what we do.
A local Clio couple received heartbreaking news about the groom’s health and needed a ceremony location on very short notice. We opened our doors at Celestial Farms at no charge because sometimes community means showing up when it’s needed most.
Our daughter, Kylee of Kylee Wilson Media, captured their wedding photos, creating memories they’ll treasure forever. After the ceremony, they celebrated their reception at the Thetford Township Hall, allowing another local venue to benefit as well.
As word of Ed's diagnosis spread, so did the love and support surrounding him. His family created a Facebook page, "Ed's Not So 'Marvel'ous Medical Journey," to keep friends, family, and the community updated after he was diagnosed with Stage 4 pancreatic cancer. The page shares honest updates about his health, celebrates small victories, and allows the many people who care about Ed to continue praying for him and encouraging his family during this difficult journey.
Reading through the comments is a beautiful reminder of just how many lives Ed has touched. Every update is met with messages of hope, prayers, and unwavering support from friends, neighbors, coworkers, and even people who have never met him but have been moved by his story.
Moments like these remind us that success isn’t measured only by the number of bookings or revenue. It’s measured by the people you can help along the way, and the impact one small business can have on a community.
