Every once in a while, a new wedding vendor walks through our doors at Celestial Farms in Clio, Michigan and completely changes the way we see things. That’s exactly what happened at Ashley and Cory’s wedding on April 12th, 2025 when Rodney Lamar Page stepped up to the DJ booth—and then completely blew everyone away with his violin performances.

We’ve seen some incredible performances here, from full live bands to string ceremony performances and more but Rodney’s was, hands down, one of the most unforgettable experiences we’ve ever had at Celestial Farms, a Wedding Venue in Michigan.

Rodney is not your average DJ and that title doesn't do him justice. He’s a violinist. A pianist. A beatboxer. A freestyle rapper. A teacher. A father. A community leader. And somehow, he manages to weave all of those titles into a single, mind-blowing performance that leaves guests ( and the Celestial Farms Team) talking long after the last dance. His musicality doesn’t just fill the room—it completely transforms it.

From Strings to Sound Waves: Rodney Lamar Page's Musical Mastery

When Rodney started playing violin during Ashley and Cory’s barn ceremony, jaws dropped. He has that rare ability to adapt his violin playing to any and every genre of music—elevating everything from classical to hip-hop, pop to country and R&B. There’s something magical about watching him move fluidly from a romantic ballad into a violin remix of a popular wedding/club anthem—and making it all feel cohesive and seamless as he moves around the room.

But it didn’t stop there.

Just before the last dance, Rodney grabbed the mic, dropped a beat, and free-styled a custom rap for the Ashley and Cory—something completely spontaneous, clever, and heartwarming even for us as he mentioned Clio and Celestial Farms. He even beatboxed what felt like an entire custom song, creating a one-man symphony of sound. Ashley and Cory's crowd went wild and so did we. The dance floor was packed and everyone was amazed- it brought chills. It was pure joy and a one of a kind wedding experience which is exactly what we strive for at Celestial Farms- a Barn Wedding Venue in Michigan.

Rodney’s talent is undeniable, but what makes him truly special is his huge heart. He’s not just an entertainer—he’s a dedicated father, an educator and mentor, pouring into the next generation with the same passion he brings to the stage and dance floor.

Based in Lansing, Rodney works with students in the local school district, volunteering his time and talents to support music education and youth empowerment programs for all ages. He believes in using music to connect, heal, and inspire (he definitely inspired me)—and his life is proof that it works. Balancing his career and creativity with raising his children and staying grounded in family values makes him a truly remarkable man.
