When a guest has to walk really far from where they parked their car it's an immediate negative experience before the day even starts. And if the parking lot isn't large enough and guests have to park on the street it causes safety concerns and liabilities. Make sure you look for wedding venues in Michigan with adequate parking. At Celestial Farms not only do we have plenty of parking spaces for your 150 person events, we also direct traffic and allow pickups and drop-offs at the ceremony location and reception barn. There's plenty of space for guests to pull up, drop-off, turn around and get to a parking spot that's conveniently located.

Does your venue expect you to clean everything at the end of the night? Does your wedding venue expect you to setup 150 ceremony chairs on the morning of your arrival? At Celestial Farms we setup and takedown all the tables and chairs for the ceremony, cocktail hour and reception. And we keep the facilities so clean throughout the entire day and night with our -included- full staff, that by the end of the night our couples are just collecting their belongings. No wedding guest is expected to take care of trash in their wedding clothes after a long day. No restrooms need to be cleaned. Celestial Farms handles all of the setup and cleans the facilities so you don't have to.
Check for accessible restrooms
What do the restrooms look like? Are they spacious? And most importantly are there wheelchair accessible restrooms available for each space? At Celestial Farms we have six restrooms on site and two are wheelchair accessible. One wheelchair accessible restroom is conveniently located next to the ceremony and cocktail hour areas and another is in the barn where the reception takes place.
Consider nearby lodging options
Do you have guests coming from out of town? Most couples do. At Celestial Farms we have the benefit of being closely located to Birch Run and Frankenmuth Michigan where there are tons of hotel and Airbnb options. We also allow guests to leave their vehicles at the venue overnight and carpool from the venue for safety reasons. The hotel is less than ten minutes from Celestial Farms. And we have at least a handful of guests staying at nearby hotels at every single wedding.
Ask about weather backup plans
If you're planning an open air ceremony, what's plan B if it rains? What if the wind is blowing down your cocktail tables? What if there's extreme unexpected weather? At Celestial Farms we have a backup plan for everything. And we rehearse these plans on your ceremony rehearsal day. We have a pavilion that can be open, or we can use the pavilion walls to block rain or wind. We can add patio heaters to assure everyone stays comfortable for the outdoor areas. And we can accommodate indoor barn ceremonies if the couples choose. We have multiple options for every scenario.
