  • Capturing Intimacy and Fun: Katie and Jeremy's Boudoir Photo Shoot at our Barn Wedding Venue

Click to see Boudoir Photography by Angela's Angles Photography LLC When it comes to unique experiences shared by couples in love, few things can measure up to the intimate joy and fun of a couples boudoir photo shoot. Before our 2023 grand opening, we had the pleasure of hosting Katie and Jeremy at our celestial farms modern barn wedding venue for an exciting couples boudoir session that combined a range of settings from cocktail hour to private moments in the dressing suite for a playful, romantic vibe. As the grand opening for our venue approached, this shoot showcased not only the beautiful spaces we have to offer but more importantly the fun energy that defines Celestial Farms and the team we've created here. I really wanted to start things off with a bang. And I have to say, we knocked it out of the park with this one! Modern Barn Wedding Venue Managed by Angie, our talented photographer with Angela's Angles Photography who has a knack for capturing magic behind the lens, Katie and Jeremy's photo shoot was a fun jumpstart to the magic we create here and a memorable occasion filled with laughter, love, and stunning visuals for all involved. While some of the images are too spicy for a public online display, the most daring shots can be found on TikTok, giving viewers just a taste of the spicy experience. Join us as we walk through this captivating couples boudoir shoot and celebrate what makes Celestial Farms the perfect diverse venue for intimate sessions like these and the perfect place to bring ANY unique vision to life. In fact, this photoshoot marked the FIRST of three (so far) photos Angie has had published in magazines at Celestial Farms. Check out Pretty Little Posers Magazine issue # 352 -Everlasting Love. A Fun-Filled Start at the Bar The day kicked off with a cocktail hour scene at our charming antique bookshelf bar, where Katie and Jeremy shared playful sips and laughter. This setting not only served as a great backdrop but also set the tone for a relaxed and fun experience after a few drinks. The warmth of the venue combined with the Katie and Jeremy's chemistry established an intimate atmosphere, perfectly suited for the shoot to come. Katie, looking radiant in her elegant white cocktail dress, and Jeremy, effortlessly stylish, spent this portion of the shoot easing into the vibes of the day. The bar area, adorned with rustic charm and a welcoming ambiance with the backlit bookshelf, contributed greatly to this laid-back starter scene. Capturing candid moments, Angie immortalized their laughter, toasts, and the genuine joy and chemistry between the two radiated while getting comfortable in front of the camera. Modern Barn Wedding Venue From the Reception Space to Elegant Lingerie Shots As the photo shoot continued, it transitioned from the bar to stunning shots on our Victorian sofa nestled in the center of the reception space. This elegant and versatile piece provided a classic touch, taking the photos to new levels of sophistication and intimacy. Katie and Jeremy changed into beautiful lingerie for this scene, exuding confidence and charm as they posed together so naturally and playfully. The combination of the Victorian sofa and the barn’s rustic ambiance created a unique contrast—the perfect match for a backdrop that adds dimension to their love story. Angie skillfully captured the special moments between them, showcasing their love through playful poses and intimate expressions. The staged reception space illuminated the couple’s playful side, and through Angie’s lens, and with her talent and bubbly personality that makes everyone feel so comfortable it became more than just a photo shoot; it was a celebration of love, sensuality, and of course lots of fun! The Spiciest Moments in the Groom's Suite The shoot took its spiciest turn in the groom's suite, where Katie and Jeremy embraced a whole new level of intimacy. This space, designed for comfort yet brimming with charm, provided the ideal canvas for a more daring vibe. With each click of Angie’s camera, the couple exhibited their playful authenticity. They let loose, enjoying the moment while creating breathtaking images that beautifully encapsulated their chemistry. In this more private setting, the couple explored various poses that highlighted their emotions and the love they share. This section of the shoot truly showcased the beauty of a couple's boudoir session—celebrating body positivity, vulnerability, and genuine love and intimacy. As the ambiance of the groom’s suite turned sultry, Katie and Jeremy brought life to the art of boudoir, creating images that are not only risqué but also tastefully done thanks to Angie's talent and experience with these types of shoots. The Impact of the Shoot: Launching Celestial Farms Katie and Jeremy’s gorgeous boudoir session was a significant milestone for Celestial Farms , a modern barn wedding venue, coinciding with our grand opening promotion. The images not only showcased the beauty and versatility of our venue but also highlighted how we embrace various forms of love and artistry. Angie’s work from the shoot didn’t go unnoticed. To this day, we proudly display this magazine whenever couples tour our venue, allowing potential clients to visualize the unique experiences we can provide. • The Pros and Cons of a Weekday Wedding at your Detroit Michigan Wedding Venue

Weddings have long been associated with weekend celebrations, but more and more Michigan couples are embracing weekday weddings as a fresh and creative alternative at their favorite Detroit Michigan Wedding Venue. Whether you’re driven by budget, availability, or simply the allure of doing something different, weekday weddings have been a fantastic option for many of our couples at Celestial Farms. In this blog, we’ll explore the pros and cons of hosting a weekday wedding, so you can decide if a weekday celebration at your Detroit Wedding Venue is right for you. The Pros of a Weekday Wedding 1. Cost Savings One of the biggest advantages of a weekday wedding is the money saving potential it brings. Many wedding venues, and vendors offer discounted rates for weekday events due to lower demand. At Celestial Farms , weekday weddings are more budget-friendly, allowing our couples to allocate savings toward other priorities, such as upgraded services, photography, or a honeymoon. Other vendors, like caterers, florists, and DJs, may also offer reduced rates or better availability for weekday events. Tip:  Be sure to inquire about weekday wedding discounts with your Detroit Wedding Venue and your vendors early in the planning process. 2. Greater Vendor Availability Popular venues and vendors book up quickly, especially for Saturdays and weekend dates during peak wedding season. If you’re dreaming of a specific photographer, florist, or band, a weekday wedding increases your chances of booking your top choices. For example, our preferred vendors at Celestial Farms , like Angela’s Angles Photography and DJ Fury with Savoy Entertainment , are more likely to have open weekday dates. This flexibility helps ensure you can work with the vendors who align with your wedding vision. 3. Intimate Atmosphere Weekday weddings often -but not always- result in a smaller guest list, as many people can’t take time off work or travel during the week. While this might sound like a drawback, it can actually create a more intimate and meaningful celebration with the most important people in your lives. Smaller weddings allow you to spend quality time with each guest which they'll love, and the atmosphere often feels more relaxed, and personal. Couples like Ryan and Jessica will have embraced this at Celestial Farms, hosting a weekday wedding that felt cozy and heartfelt, with every guest playing a special role on their wedding day. 4. Unique Scheduling Opportunities Weekday weddings allow for creative scheduling and unique themes. For instance: • A Monday brunch wedding  with mimosas and a relaxed vibe, earlier start and end times, is a wonderfully unique option. • A Tuesday evening ceremony  with a later than usual start time, allows for your guests to get a full work day in before arrival time. • A Thursday dinner party-style reception , perfect for food lovers, allows for the start of one long enjoyable weekend. At Celestial Farms, our flexibility with timelines and the use of our spaces allows couples to tailor their weekday weddings to reflect their personalities, which is so important to us. 5. Travel and Accommodation Benefits For guests traveling from out of town, weekday weddings can sometimes be a more convenient option. Hotels-such as the Birch Run hotels that are right down the road from our venue often offer lower rates on weekdays, and popular travel destinations such as Frankenmuth which is a quick 10-15 minute drive and an extremely popular destination for our couple's families pre and post wedding day-are less crowded midweek. The Cons of a Weekday Wedding 1. Guest Attendance Challenges One of the most significant drawbacks of a weekday wedding can be the potential difficulty for some of your guests to attend. Taking time off work midweek, arranging childcare, or traveling during the week can be challenging for some of your guests people, which might lead to a lower RSVP rate. How to manage it: • Give your guests plenty of advance notice by sending save-the-dates as early as possible. • Be understanding if some of your invitees can’t attend. At Celestial Farms, we’ve seen couples turn this into an opportunity to focus on their closest friends and family, creating an intimate celebration with fewer guests and ultimately a more satisfying outcome. 2. Limited Time for Celebrations For guests who can’t take the entire day off, a weekday wedding might feel rushed depending on the timeline. Evening ceremonies may leave less time for a full reception experience. Consider this solution: Plan your wedding later in the day, such as a 5:00 PM ceremony, to allow guests to work a half-day before attending. At Celestial Farms, we’ve seen this approach work beautifully, with weekday weddings starting at sunset -perfect for photography- and ending with stunning sparkler send-offs. Or have a more private ceremony before the majority of yo0ur guests arrive for the reception. 3. Potential Vendor Restrictions While some vendors may have more availability during the week, others might face scheduling conflicts with their regular weekday business operations. Pro tip:  Book vendors with dedicated weekday wedding services already in place or those already familiar with your wedding venue. Vendors on our preferred list, like Cheers to You Bartending , excel at working weddings 7 days a week year round, ensuring seamless service no matter the day. 4. Guest Fatigue A weekday wedding may require guests to juggle work, travel, and celebration all in one day, potentially leading to sleepy wedding guests This can be especially challenging for guests with demanding work and life schedules or parents with young children. How to mitigate this: Consider offering transportation options, like our local Blue Lakes shuttle service and Midnight Madness party bus. At Celestial Farms, having both indoor and outdoor spaces means your guests can relax without worrying about navigating multiple locations. 5. Missing Weekend Vibes Weekday weddings might lack the carefree energy of a weekend celebration, where guests can fully let loose knowing they have the next day off work. This could mean shorter celebrations or fewer guests staying late into the night to dance. Workaround: Choose a holiday weekend or a day adjacent to a public holiday, like a Thursday before Memorial Day weekend for instance. This can help retain the festive spirit while still benefiting from all of the weekday perks. Is a Weekday Wedding Right for You? Deciding whether a weekday wedding is right for you and your partner depends on your priorities as a couple. If cost savings, vendor availability, and intimate vibes are part of your vision, a weekday wedding might be the perfect fit for you. At Celestial Farms , we specialize in tailoring weddings to our couples’ unique needs, whether it’s a Monday brunch wedding, a Wednesday evening soirée, or an all weekend celebration, we have a package for everyone! Tips for Planning a Successful Weekday Wedding If you’re leaning toward a weekday wedding, here are some tips to ensure it goes smoothly: 1. Send save-the-dates early : Give your guests as much time as possible to plan ahead and request time off of work. 2. Choose a convenient time : Evening ceremonies work well for weekday weddings, allowing your guests to work for all of or part of the day before attending the celebration. 3. Offer flexibility : Provide options for guests who can’t attend the full celebration, such as joining just for the ceremony or just for the reception. 4. Communicate clearly : Be transparent about your timeline, your expectations, and communicate accommodation options available to make attendance easier for your guests. Final Thoughts Weekday weddings, especially at Celestial Farms are a growing trend for good reason—they’re cost-effective, intimate, and often more flexible than our weekend celebrations. However, they can come with unique challenges, such as guest availability and scheduling constraints. At Celestial Farms , we’ve hosted weekday weddings that are just as stunning and memorable as weekend events, at a fraction of the cost. Whether you’re dreaming of a quiet Monday brunch or a lively Thursday evening party, our Celestial Farms team is here to bring your vision to life! Whether you're dreaming of a rustic yet modern barn ceremony, an outdoor celebration under the stars, a pavilion ceremony, or a winter celebration our venue offers the flexibility and charm to make it happen. A Warm Welcome: Your Tour Begins From the moment you arrive at Celestial Farms, you'll be greeted with the warm hospitality that defines our approach to wedding planning. We understand that touring a wedding venue is an exciting but often overwhelming step in the planning process, so we make sure that your experience is relaxed, enjoyable, and informative. As you step onto the property, you'll notice the natural beauty that surrounds our venue. Rolling green fields, beautiful trees, our pond and waterfall and the charm of a modern barn create a serene and welcoming atmosphere. This is where your journey to creating your dream wedding begins. The Venue Walkthrough: Discovering Each Space Your tour of Celestial Farms starts with a comprehensive walkthrough of the venue. We'll take you through each space, giving you a detailed look at what your wedding could look like here in each space. Our modern barn is designed to be both versatile and beautiful, offering a blank canvas that can be tailored to your style, whether you’re envisioning a classic, elegant celebration or a rustic, country-chic affair, every style fits.  The Barn: The heart of Celestial Farms is our modern barn, a stunning space that combines rustic charm with contemporary amenities. As you arrive you’ll notice the original cedar siding that has aged beautifully on what used to be a horse barn. When you walk through the barn, you'll notice the high black open beam ceilings, and large windows that allow natural light to pour in, creating a warm and inviting ambiance. This is where most of our couples choose to host their reception, and we'll show you how the space can be arranged to accommodate everything from a grand dinner to a lively dance floor. The Ceremony Spaces: One of the unique aspects of Celestial Farms is the variety of options you have for your ceremony. During your tour, we'll show you several potential ceremony spots on the property. Whether you prefer a picturesque outdoor setting with the barn as your backdrop, a more intimate garden ceremony, or even a custom setup in a less traditional location such as on the opposite side of the pond which is something I’m totally looking forward to at the end of this month, we’ll help you visualize all the possibilities. Our venue offers the flexibility to create a ceremony space that’s perfectly suited to your vision, whether that’s under the open sky or nestled among the trees, under our new pavilion, or a winter outdoor heated pavilion ceremony like the one we have planned this November. We have so many great ideas and unique events to look forward to this year!  The Bridal Suite and Groom’s Lounge: We’ll also guide you through our bridal suite and groom’s lounge, two private dressing spaces designed to give you and your wedding party a comfortable and luxurious place to prepare for the big day. The bridal suite is spacious, filled with natural light, and equipped with everything you need for hair, makeup, and those special pre-wedding moments with your bridal party. It’s a climate controlled building of its own, assuring privacy for our bridal party. It even features a kitchenette and a refrigerator for those early morning mimosas and snacks! The groom’s lounge in our barn offers a relaxed atmosphere where the groom and groomsmen can unwind, enjoy some downtime, and get ready for the celebration. Want to switch things up? Both suites are neutral in color and fit for both men and women, so you can use each dressing suite as you choose.  The Pavilion: our versatile pavilion space is used for many different purposes. It's most popular use is a cocktail hour space with our chiavari barstools and cocktail tables. Our three restrooms for this area are super conveniently located. You can also use the pavilion as your ceremony space, or as a backup ceremony space for weather. Sometimes the pavilion is just a nice place to get some fresh air during the party. And we're so excited for our WINTER WEDDING this November with an outdoor ceremony under the pavilion! A Venue with History: From Horse Farm to Wedding Haven As you tour Celestial Farms, you’ll learn about the rich history of our venue. Before it became the beloved wedding destination it is today, Celestial Farms was a working horse farm and barn. The barn itself has been carefully restored to maintain its rustic charm while being updated with modern amenities such as a complete hvac system to accommodate year round weddings and events. The transformation from a horse farm to a wedding venue was a labor of love, driven by our passion for creating a space where couples could celebrate their love stories. We’ve kept the original character of the property intact, with the barn's structure and many of its features serving as a nod to its past. During your tour, we’ll share stories about the barn's history and how it evolved into the stunning Michigan wedding venue it is today. • The Beauty of Intimate Luxury Weddings at Celestial Farms in Clio Michigan: Why Less Can Truly Be More

Monette Co. Photography When planning your dream Michigan wedding, and searching the the wedding venue that suits you the most, the pressure to invite everyone you know can often lead to an overwhelming guest list. Things can quickly start spiraling into an event that feels more like a production than a celebration of your love. As a Clio, Michigan wedding venue owner, I’ve seen firsthand the difference between large-scale events and intimate weddings, and there is something truly special about keeping your guest list small and luxurious. At Celestial Farms in Clio, Michigan , serving couples throughout the Detroit area, we specialize in helping you create unforgettable moments with the people who matter most. Of course we can host all 150 of your guests and it will be absolutely wonderful, but if you’re considering a micro wedding and you're on the fence between an extravagant 150+ person wedding and a more intimate gathering of around 50 of your favorite people, let’s explore the top reasons why intimate luxury Michigan wedding venue might be the best choice for you. 1. Quality Over Quantity Tracy Ross Photography When your guest list is limited to 50 people or less , every individual there is someone who truly matters to you and your partner. The smaller the wedding, the more opportunities you'll have to connect and with each guest, making your wedding day more meaningful. Instead of worrying about how to greet 150 people in passing, you can sit down and have meaningful conversations, share laughs, and create lasting memories with those who truly share in your love and joy. Intimate Michigan weddings allow you to be fully present, soaking in every moment with the people you love most. At Celestial Farms in Clio Michigan, the smaller guest list means your experience is more personal, allowing for a connection that can be harder to achieve at a large-scale event with 150+ people and many moving parts. At an intimate or micro-wedding, elopement ceremony, etc. each guest will feel special, appreciated, and a part of your story—not just a name on a seating chart. Angela's Angles Photography 2. Curating an Exclusive and Luxurious Experience Luxury isn’t about size—it’s about the details. When you opt for an intimate wedding, your budget goes much further, allowing you to indulge in the little luxuries that make your wedding day feel extraordinary and customized. Whether it’s exquisite floral arrangements from a local florist , gourmet catering from Zehnder's in Frankenmuth or handcrafted cocktail bars, Cheers to You Bartending - you have the flexibility to focus on enhancing the experience instead of stretching every dollar to accommodate a larger crowd. At Celestial Farms , our modern barn venue offers a perfect blend of rustic charm and modern elegance, making it ideal for luxurious, intimate indoor and outdoor Michigan weddings. Picture a beautiful outdoor ceremony with the waterfall in the background, or a heated pavilion ceremony for a winter wedding, followed by a lavish dinner in our climate controlled modern farmhouse barn. With fewer guests, you can invest in top-tier elements like your wedding dress, intricate décor, and personal touches that elevate your wedding day from beautiful to breathtaking. 3. Less Stress, More Enjoyment Large weddings come with many moving parts—coordinating the logistics for hundreds of people, managing vendors, and ensuring everyone is taken care of can be incredibly stressful. With an intimate wedding, the pressure is significantly reduced. You can focus more on the joy and excitement of the day and less on the logistics and planning.  Celestial Farms provides a setting that makes it easy to create a stunning wedding with less stress. We include limited day of coordination with every single wedding. And if you’d prefer a full planning experience we've . Our preferred vendor list includes professionals like Angela’s Angles Photography , who offer special packages for our couples. Angela, a close friend and collaborator, ensures that your intimate moments are captured with the care and artistry they deserve. And during the winter season, Angela’s Angles offers discounted photography packages for Celestial Farms couples, making it even more enticing to consider a winter wedding with all the most important details covered.  4. Michigan Winter Weddings: A Unique and Budget-Friendly Option Alysha Jayne Photogrpahy Michigan winter weddings are often overlooked in favor of the more traditional spring, summer and fall dates, but they offer an enchanting alternative that can be both stunning and budget-friendly. At Celestial Farms, we offer special winter wedding packages that allow you to embrace the beauty of the season while saving money on your big day. We can host a Friday or Saturday winter wedding - or any season wedding- but we’d really like our potential clients to consider a Sunday through Thursday wedding for a budget friendly option with the same outcome as a typical weekend wedding.  Imagine exchanging vows in a cozy, warmly lit barn surrounded by winter’s natural beauty and the snow covered trees outside of our big barn windows. Or maybe you’d prefer to have your ceremony outside, with our new heated pavilion options. Our Michigan wedding venue looks magical in the snow, offering the perfect backdrop for a romantic winter wedding. And because winter dates are less in demand, we’re able to offer lower rates, allowing you to enjoy the luxury of our space at a fraction of the cost of a summer wedding. Other vendors may have winter discounts as well. Combined with Angela’s discounted winter photography packages, your intimate winter wedding at Celestial Farms becomes even more affordable.  Alysha Jayne Photography 5. Maximizing Your Budget with a Smaller Guest List With fewer guests, your budget can be spent on creating a memorable experience rather than simply covering the basics. When you opt for an intimate wedding versus a larger guest count, the savings on catering, rentals, and other guest-related costs can be redirected to elevate your celebration and guest experience. Whether that means upgrading your menu to a multi-course dinner, hiring live entertainment, BLUE WATER KINGS or investing in custom favors for your guests, the possibilities are endless. Angela's Angles Photography Celestial Farms works closely with some of the best caterers in the Detroit area who understand how to create memorable dining experiences that reflect your tastes and preferences. And because your guest list is smaller, you can splurge on that gourmet menu, ensuring your guests leave with full hearts and full bellies. 6. Making Your Wedding Truly Unique Large weddings can sometimes feel like a one-size-fits-all event, with limited room for personal expression. With a smaller wedding, you have the freedom to customize every aspect of your day to reflect your personality and love story. From personalized vows to bespoke décor, your wedding becomes a true reflection of who you are as a couple. Angela's Angles Photography At Celestial Farms , we encourage couples to make the space their own. Whether that means setting up an intimate lounge area for guests to relax or creating a unique cocktail experience with our exclusive bartending partner, Cheers to You Bartending and Charcuterie , the options are endless. You can create a wedding that feels personal and distinctive, leaving a lasting impression on your guests. 7. Embracing an Intimate Atmosphere One of the most common regrets couples have after their wedding is that they didn’t get to enjoy their day as much as they’d hoped. With a smaller wedding, you’ll have the time and space to savor every moment. From enjoying a quiet moment before the ceremony to dancing under the stars with your closest friends and family, an intimate wedding allows you to be fully present on your special day. At Celestial Farms, our expansive outdoor space and modern barn venue provide the perfect setting for an intimate celebration. Whether you’re saying “I do” in front of our gorgeous backdrop or enjoying a fireside chat with your guests, the atmosphere is one of warmth, love, and connection. 8. Winter Weddings: A Stunning Seasonal Backdrop Alysha Jayne Photography Winter weddings at Celestial Farms are something truly special. • Top 5 Splurges that are worth the investment at your Michigan Wedding Venue.

Timeline Planning and Coordination Services have the top spot for most crucial service needed at your wedding! But we're not including them in this list because at Celestial Farms, a Michigan Wedding Venue, every wedding includes these services for a truly seamless and enjoyable experience. When planning a wedding, couples naturally want to keep an eye on their budget. However, there are a few strategic splurges that not only elevate your celebration but also create a smoother, more enjoyable experience for your guests. At Celestial Farms, we’ve seen time and time again how certain investments make all the difference in the quality, beauty, and flow of our couples' wedding day. Here are the top five splurges that are absolutely worth the investment: 1. The Bar Glass Package One of the easiest ways to elevate your event is through upgraded bar and drink services. At Celestial Farms, we offer an optional bar glass package and water service , and it’s consistently one of the most impactful upgrades our couples choose. Here’s why it’s worth the splurge: • Elevated Aesthetic : Glass goblets and high-quality barware add sophistication and class to your tablescapes and bar area. The difference between disposable cups and real glassware is immediately noticeable in wedding photos and the in person ambiance. • Guest Comfort : With water service provided at every table, your guests stay hydrated and comfortable throughout the day and night—an especially thoughtful touch during summer weddings. • Flavor & Ease of Coordination : Because we partner exclusively with top vendors like Cheers to You Bartending , our top notch cocktails are made with the freshest ingredients and a real glass keeps the flavors intact! Also, their team knows exactly how to handle our glassware and understand our procedures for keeping glassware cleaned and stocked. The result? Seamless service from start to finish with great teamwork! Your guests will appreciate the attention to detail, and you’ll enjoy seeing those sparkling glass goblets in your wedding photography! 2. Professional Linens That Wow Linens may not seem like the most glamorous part of your wedding budget, but investing in high-quality tablecloths and linen services, can transform your reception space into something magazine-worthy. Pictured below is our white scuba floor length linen with a dusty sage green overlay. Here’s why you should consider splurging on linens: • Cohesive Design : The right linens tie together your color palette and theme, elevating the overall aesthetic of your wedding decor. They create a clean, polished look that enhances our modern barn setting. • Texture and Layers : Layered linens, like table runners or overlay cloths- which come in every color and fabric, add depth and dimension to your décor. Combined with your centerpiece designs, they make your tables pop in photos and also wow your guests! • Low Stress : Renting linens from a professional vendor ensures they’re clean, pressed, and ready to go with no stress placed on the client. No laundry! No last-minute ironing or folding required! At Celestial Farms, we’ve seen firsthand how stunning linens can enhance the overall atmosphere. Trust us, this splurge pays off in unforgettable first impressions and beautiful wedding photos. 3. A Good Photographer If there’s one place not to skimp, it’s photography. After all, your wedding photos are the lasting memories that allow you to relive your big day for years to come. Investing in a skilled photographer—like our preferred vendor, Angela’s Angles Photography —ensures that every special moment is captured beautifully. Here’s why this splurge is a must: • Unforgettable Moments : From your first look to the sparkler send-off, a talented photographer knows how to capture the emotion and essence of every moment. • Familiarity with the Venue : Photographers like Angie, who regularly shoot at Celestial Farms, know the best spots for dreamy golden-hour portraits, and she knows all of the outdoor locations around the farm for couples photos, and stunning group photos. Angies expertise makes your photo timeline seamless. • High-Quality Results : You’ll have an album full of crisp, artful photos that tell the story of your day—not blurry, poorly lit or poorly edited images that leave you disappointed. Plus, Angie offers exclusive discounts for Celestial Farms couples, making this splurge even more worthwhile! 4. A Professional DJ Who Knows Their Craft Music is the heartbeat of your wedding reception, and a great DJ like DJ Fury with Savoy Entertainment can turn a good party into an unforgettable one. Investing in a skilled, professional DJ ensures that your event flows smoothly and keeps guests dancing all night long. Here’s why hiring a professional DJ is worth the cost: • Flawless Transitions : From your grand entrance to the first dance and cake cutting, a good DJ ensures every moment transitions seamlessly into the next. • Reading the Room : Experienced DJs know how to gauge the crowd’s energy and play the right songs to keep everyone on the dance floor which isn't easy to do. Only the best DJ's can truly nail this every time. • Top-Tier Equipment : Professional DJs like DJ Fury with Savoy Entertainment and Forella Events bring high-quality sound and lighting equipment that complements Celestial Farms’ layout. They also understand the best placement for speakers and lights, enhancing your overall experience. DJ Fury's wireless modern equipment allow us to have our ceremonies anywhere on the property. Our preferred DJs know our venue inside and out, so you can trust that they’ll create the perfect atmosphere for your Celestial Farms wedding. 5. Videography Videography for your wedding day is an investment that consistently proves its value. While great photography captures all of the beautiful still moments, videography tells the complete story of your entire wedding day. Like the way you both moved on your first dance, the emotion in your vows, and the facial expressions and raw emotions that are captured when the bride and groom see each other for the first time. A wedding video allows you to relive your special for years to come, preserving not only how it looked but also how it felt. These living memories become a truly valued keepsake for a lifetime for brides and grooms, children, parents and more, offering something photos alone simply cannot replicate. At Celestial Farms we've witnessed firsthand how impactful a well-crafted wedding video can be. From the sparkler grand exits we love to help our couples stage to the funny "prank" first look when our groomsman dressed up as the bride! Years down the road watching your video will transport you back to the laughter, love, and magic of your wedding day, making it one of the most worthwhile long lasting investments in your entire celebration. We've had the honor of welcoming videographers to Celestial Farms on many occasions, here are a few of our favorites. Malcolm Cottle Media for Raq and Harvey. Ackerman and Co. for Angelique and Zachary With This Ring Film is an expert in the field of wedding videography and we can't wait to have them at Celestial Farms! A Final Word: Invest in What Matters At the end of the day, your wedding budget should reflect what’s most important to you. Splurging strategically on these five areas ensures that your big day feels elegant, effortless, and unforgettable, but each couple has to decide how they'd like to allocate their wedding budget based on the most important aspects are to them. At Celestial Farms, our team of experts is here to help you make those decisions with confidence. Bovan Floral Group New Year’s Eve is the ultimate time for glittering celebrations, fresh new starts, and unforgettable moments in life—making it the perfect opportunity to pop the question! If you’re planning to propose this New Years Eve, let us help you make it magical. Whether you’re considering an intimate setting with your closest friends and family, just the two of you, or a grand event for the world to see, Detroit wedding venues and Michigan wedding venues offer the perfect backdrop to begin your forever. From Detroit Wedding Venues and bright city lights to cozy countryside vibes like Celestial Farms Weddings and Events in Clio, Michigan, here are a few creative and heartfelt ideas to ensure your marriage proposal is as unforgettable as the love story you've been creating. 1. The Countdown Moment: Proposing at Midnight New Year’s Eve is all about the countdown- to 2025, and nothing beats proposing just as the clock strikes midnight. For this type of proposal, you should consider: • A Rooftop Venue in Detroit : Rooftop locations like the Madison or The Monarch Club offer amazing views of the Detroit skyline. Toast the new year—and your engagement—with champagne under the fireworks display! • Winter Wedding Venues Near Me : Local spots with outdoor fire pits or heated patios like we have at Celestial Farms can add a cozy, romantic touch to your midnight proposal. Making it a surprise with a private rental and dinner for two is as close to a fairy tale as you can get. Pro Tip: Coordinate with the venue to play a special song on cue or display “Will You Marry Me?” on a screen or marquee letters in front of the Celestial Farms waterfall for an unforgettable reveal. 2. A Cozy Proposal at a Michigan Wedding Venue Many Detroit Michigan wedding venues host elegant New Year’s Eve events, from grand galas to intimate dinners that create the perfect proposal opportunities. Consider popping the questions during a quieter moment at one of these venues: • Historic Charm : Venues like Meadow Brook Hall in Rochester or Castle Farms in Charlevoix provide romantic, storybook settings. • Modern Elegance : If you prefer a more chic and contemporary vibe, The Townsend Hotel in Birmingham offers stunning interiors perfect for proposals. Pro Tip: Work with the event coordinators and organizers of the location you choose to create a private moment during all of the festivities. A walk in a beautifully lit courtyard or a private candlelight balcony toast are great ideas. 3. Fireworks and Fairytales Fireworks go hand in hand with New Year’s Eve, and many Detroit Michigan wedding venues plan to incorporate fireworks into their NYE 2025 celebrations. Make it your perfect proposal moment by: • Booking a private dinner for two at a venue with a view of the city’s fireworks display. • Choosing a venue that offers its own private fireworks display—perfect for smaller towns like Clio, Michigan and rural venues near me. The event coordinator at Celestial Farms would love to help you bring this vision to life. A Personalized New Year’s Eve Party If you’d rather avoid the large crowds and opt for a more intimate atmosphere consider hosting a private New Year’s Eve party at a Detroit wedding venue. Intimate gatherings allow you to: • Personalize your proposal with a slideshow of your favorite memories or a heartfelt toast to your love before the countdown to 2025. • Include close friends and family to share in your love and joy, turning the proposal into a celebration during a celebration! Popular spots we love like the Detroit Institute of Arts or smaller, boutique venues like my absolute favorite place in Port Austin, Michigan- 85ten can accommodate a romantic yet festive evening proposal, and I'm sure the owner would LOVE to help you pull this special moment off! 5. Frankenmuth knows how to embrace the winter season! • Planning a cozy cabin getaway for two with a surprise proposal by the fireplace or under a starry cold Michigan sky is also a great idea. 6. Incorporating Special Details No matter where or how you choose to pop the question, adding personal touches will make the moment even more unforgettable: • Custom Ring Boxes : Have a ring box engraved with the date or a love note. • Keepsake Photos : Work with a local photographer who knows Detroit wedding venues to help find the perfect proposal location in your area. • Music and Lighting : Coordinate with the coordinator from your chosen venue to set the perfect mood with your partner’s favorite song, twinkling fairy lights, or a candlelit table for two. 7. • A Surprise Vow Renewal: Magical Moments Celebrated at Wedding Barns near me

Chelsea and Joey tied the knot on Saturday, September 7, 2024, in a breathtaking ceremony surrounded by their loved ones at Celestial Farms Wedding Venue. Nestled in nature, Celestial Farms is One of the wedding barns near me with the perfect setting for vow renewals; The space that enveloped Chelsea and Joey's guests in a world of warmth and charm. With a full weekend rental, Sunday was designated for clean-up. The family gathered at Celestial Farms one more time, prepared to bid farewell to a weekend filled with love and laughter. With some family members traveling back to Tennessee, the atmosphere was bittersweet, combining heartfelt goodbyes with the lingering magic of the wedding festivities from the day before. Part one: Let the surprise renewal begin! A New Idea at Breakfast As the immediate family gathered for breakfast on Sunday morning, conversations flowed, filled with laughter and reminiscence. Among the attendees were Chelsea’s grandparents, Linda and Rick who had been married for decades and were beacons of love and resilience for the entire family. During this seemingly routine Sunday breakfast, a spark of inspiration ignited. The decision to renew Linda and Rick's vows came up, a sweet idea birthed from the desire of an upset "flower girl" that was not given the opportunity to participate in the ceremony decades prior as a young girl. Through the years this topic was often talked about amongst the family, almost an inside joke-"why didn't you let me be your flower girl?!". Wrapped in blankets of nostalgia, Chelsea’s grandparents realized that this moment provided a beautiful opportunity not only to allow this "flower girl" to live out her dream, but also to celebrate Linda and Rick's journey together, just as their granddaughter had begun her own. The atmosphere became charged with excitement as everyone rallied behind this spontaneous idea for a vow renewal at wedding barns near me; Celestial Farms. Part two: The vows. The Family’s Support With the decision to proceed with the Celestial Farms vow renewal solidified, preparations began immediately. Chelsea’s aunt, who had officiated the wedding ceremony the day before, gracefully agreed to officiate this intimate, spur of the moment family gathering as well. The beautiful bond shared within this family shone through brightly; the aunt’s emotional ties to both the grandparents and Chelsea added a profound layer of sentiment to the occasion, as she officiated her second ceremony for the weekend. The "flower girl" truly was living out her dream as well and we were all so blessed to be witness to it. As the family members gathered on the patio with the sun shining brightly, the air was filled with laughter and light-hearted banter. It was awe-inspiring to witness how the day transformed from a cleanup effort and farewell gathering to a celebration of enduring marital vows, a thread that tied all generations together under one roof. The Sweet Surprise Once the family was gathered on the patio, the moment everyone had eagerly anticipated arrived. Chelsea’s grandparent, Linda and Rick stood together, clearly so in love just as they were decades before. The morning sun poured over them, creating a soft, warm glow that complemented the intimate and heartwarming atmosphere. Friends and family gathered around, witnessing this beautiful moment as they formed a circle of love and support. Chelsea’s aunt began the officiating, invoking the memories of the couple’s original vows, while seamlessly guiding them through their renewed intentions. Their eyes sparkled with joy, and they shared sweet glances, punctuated by laughter and occasional tears (Yes, the sniffles you hear are mine). The simplicity of the ceremony, coupled with the deep-rooted love that radiated from the lovely couple, made the experience nothing short of magical, just as the night before was. The couple exchanged their vows, promises were renewed—those made so long ago and those crafted in the warmth of the morning today at Celestial Farms. It was a celebration not just of their love but of the resilience, challenges, and joys experienced over the years which was a wonderful way to end Chelsea and Joey's weekend. I felt truly honored to see our young couple witness their grandparents' decades of love and commitment to each other, what a great example to set for the newlyweds. Part three: RE-introducing the couple as husband and wife! An Emotional Moment Witnessing this spontaneous celebration was a deeply moving experience for everyone present, including me. The air was charged with emotional energy; tears of joy began flowing freely as Chelsea and Joey's family members soaked in the heartwarming sentiment of the moment. For Chelsea, observing her grandparents reaffirm their commitment at the very location she just said her vows the day before was a profoundly touching experience. This spontaneous act reminded her of what love truly is—a journey filled with support. And as Chelsea's aunt said it best: "A great marriage is not when a perfect couple comes together, but when an imperfect couple learns to enjoy their differences". As the ceremony concluded, Linda and Rick's exchange of love and commitment echoed through generations, each word bridging their past with the love they’ve nurtured throughout their years together. The weight of their words filled the atmosphere with warmth, making it clear that love knows no bounds in the face of time. A Legacy of Love The vow renewal between Linda and Rick beautifully illustrated that love transcends years, embodying strength, resilience, and a sense of belonging. As Chelsea and Joey embarked on their new journey as a married couple, they were simultaneously reminded of the privileges and responsibilities that accompany love over time. Their grandparents’ surprise vow renewal served as a heartfelt tribute to their enduring love and a sweet reminder of the beauty and commitment that a strong marriage entails. It was a great lesson for all of us who witnessed it on nurturing relationships that stand the test of time. Collecting Memories Together After the heartfelt vows were spoken, the family celebrated with laughs, lots of hugs and heartfelt farewells as some were heading back to Tennessee. The special time spent together that day added another chapter to the tapestry of their family’s legacy. A photo session ensued, with everyone gathering to capture the day's events: the joyful tears, the laughter, and the love that radiated throughout Celestial Farms. These snapshots would become cherished keepsakes, preserving the beauty of a cleanup day at Celestial Farms that turned into an unexpected celebration of decades of love. A Symbol of Shared Joy As the afternoon unfolded, it became clear that this unexpected ceremony was more than just a vow renewal; it was a reaffirmation of familial bonds, an opportunity for every family member to embrace their shared history. Seeing Chelsea and Joey witness their grandparents reaffirm their love for one another provided them with a legacy to aspire to, a tangible example of what a lifetime partnership could embody. The day transformed into a highlight reel of joy, with children playing, laughter echoing through the farm, and the atmosphere loaded with the cheerful sounds of togetherness. Chelsea’s grandparents took a moment to thank the family for their love and support, acknowledging how much this simple but heartfelt renewal meant not just to them, but to the entire family. In their graceful speech, they reminded everyone of how love continuously grows, a reminder that it’s not the grand gestures but the everyday acts of devotion that forge lasting bonds. The Importance of Family Traditions Chelsea and Joey, young newlyweds with a lifetime ahead of them, are now woven into this beautiful tapestry of love that their grandparents exemplify. Inspired by the joy and affection witnessed that day, they left with a renewed understanding of what it means to foster their relationship—ensuring it will flourish amidst the highs and lows that life brings. The surprise vow renewal served as a gentle reminder that family is the backbone of love stories—a network of support through thick and thin. Chelsea and Joey's Sparkler Sendoff 9-7-24. Concluding Thoughts In a world where schedules can often be hectic, this last-minute vow renewal between Linda and Rick exemplified the beauty of taking a moment to pause and honor those we love in this fast paced world we live in. Chelsea and Joey’s wedding weekend underlined the importance of creating and celebrating love across generations, which is the essence of what we stand for at Celestial Farms. As they look to the future, Chelsea and Joey carry with them not only their love story but also the stories of those who came before them, inspiring them to build a strong relationship founded on the values observed in the generations that raised them. Their experience at Celestial Farms served as a launching point for their journey, one in which they will navigate life hand in hand, surrounded by the unwavering support of their loving families. Love is timeless, and in this unexpected celebration at wedding barns near me: aka Celestial Farms, the connections forged and reaffirmed that day will remain etched in their hearts forever— and etched in the history of our beloved farm forever. It was truly an everlasting testament to the beauty of love that spans generations, and I feel beyond blessed to have witnessed it. Whether you’re drawn to the mountains of Gatlinburg, the beaches of Jamaica, or the romantic streets of Paris, I’ll guide you through each destination and provide valuable insights that will make honeymoon planning a breeze! A Modern Barn Detroit Wedding Venue 1. Gatlinburg, Tennessee: A Cozy Cabin Escape Nestled in the Smoky Mountains, Gatlinburg is the perfect destination for couples seeking a romantic getaway surrounded by nature and stunning mountain views. My family loves to visit Gatlinburg and the Pigeon Forge area as it's filled with breathtaking views, cozy cabins and of course my favorite things, Mountain Coasters and Moonshine Tasting! Activities : You can explore the Great Smoky Mountains National Park by foot, ATV, Jeep excursions, take a scenic tram ride, or visit the local distilleries for some moonshine tasting. My favorite activity has to be the Alpine Mountain Coaster. It's a beautiful activity to do during the day but also seems to be a whole new experience at night. And there are endless spots for a romantic dinner at one of the local restaurants offering stunning mountain views. Planning Tips : For a cozy experience, consider renting a cabin with a hot tub and stunning mountain views. Book in advance, especially during peak seasons, to be sure you have many cabins to choose from, as they book fast! 2. Jamaica: Paradise on Earth If you’re dreaming of white sand beaches and crystal-clear waters, Jamaica is a great choice, and was my ten year anniversary destination. Kyle and I spent a week soaking up the sun, exploring the vibrant culture, and enjoying the delicious local Jamaican cuisine. We also took a guided ATV tour which was exciting if your an adventurist. One of our favorite dining spots was the clifftop Rick's Cafe in Negril, which had great vibes and exciting entertainment for the brave souls who cliff jumped into the waters below! Activities : Relax on the beach, go snorkeling or scuba diving, and visit the famous Dunn's River Falls which is a great experience for all ages. The local music scene is always vibrant, so make sure to catch a reggae concert or visit a lively beach bar for a great time. Planning Tips : Look for all-inclusive resorts that cater specifically to honeymooners such as Sandals, Negril which is where we stayed. They have a lot to offer for couples looking for a romantic experience. Book your excursions in advance so you don’t miss out on experiences like private boat rides or sunset dinners. A Modern Barn Detroit Wedding Venue 3. Cinque Terre, Italy: A Slice of Italian Romance Now this one's a little farther out there but it's a once in a lifetime unique experience I'll cherish forever. Cinque Terre, with its colorful cliffside villages along the Italian Riviera, offers a romantic backdrop that feels like an absolute dream. Our visit was filled with scenic hikes, delicious food, and breathtaking views that looked like a post card. I had to pinch myself more than once. You won't believe your eyes with these views. Activities : Hike between the charming villages, indulge in fresh seafood and amazing Italian dishes , and enjoy gelato by the seaside including the unexpectedly delicious basil gelato we tried and loved. Be sure to take a cooking class to learn how to make authentic Italian dishes together which is such a romantic experience. There is no activity that isn't worth trying here. It's all absolutely amazing. Kyle and Jen in Italy Planning Tips : Travel during the shoulder seasons (late spring or early fall) to avoid large crowds and enjoy pleasant weather. Consider staying in a charming bed and breakfast versus a large hotel for a more intimate experience. Don’t forget to set aside time for leisurely strolls through the villages with no time crunch to worry about; it’s the best way to soak in the local atmosphere. 4. Paris, France: The City of Love Kyle and Jen in Paris Paris is often referred to as the most romantic city in the world, and after my visit this past year I can personally agree with this statement. My time in Paris was magical, filled with iconic sights, delicious foods and pastries, and unforgettable moments with my loved ones. We were first stunned with the sight of the Eiffel tower and had to get a closer look the second we arrived. I never could've imagined myself going all the way to the top but once I got there I knew I just had to do it. I only stayed long enough for a quick pic, but I am so glad I did it. There are so many amazing places to visit while in Paris. Some of our choices were Arc de Triomphe, Sacre Coeur, Palace of Versailles, and ok guys, my absolute fave wasn't exactly the place that comes to mind when you think of romance, but the catacombs were a dream destination for me and it lived up to the hype. There wasn't enough time to do everything and I'd go back in a heartbeat. Arc de Triomphe Paris Catacombs A Modern Barn Detroit Wedding Venue Activities : Visit the Eiffel Tower, stroll along the Seine, and explore the artistic treasures in the Louvre. Enjoy a picnic in the Luxembourg Gardens or dine at one of many quaint cafés. You can also take a boat cruise for a unique view of the city which is what we did, but unfortunately we were rained on for that one. Planning Tips : Book your accommodations near the city center to minimize the travel time from destination to destination. Consider purchasing a Paris Pass for access to many popular attractions. Make dining reservations in advance, especially for popular restaurants. Don't get lost, be sure you understand your route so you don't waste time. Bring an umbrella! 5. London, England: A Blend of History and Modernity Kylee and Khloe in London London offers a captivating mix of history, culture, and exciting and fun city life. I loved exploring the rich heritage, from the Tower of London to the charming streets of Notting Hill, the experience was both romantic and exciting. I have to admit it was nice being able to understand the language. And made travel a bit easier. And who doesn't want to see where the King and Queen live? It was truly incredible to see in real life as you've seen these destinations on tv and your computer/phone screen your entire life. Activities : Visit Buckingham Palace, take a ride on the iconic London Eye , and explore the eclectic markets like Borough Market or Camden Market for local cuisine. Enjoy a West End show for a fun night out. Planning Tips : Use public transportation to navigate the city most efficiently. Look for London Pass options that offer discounts on attractions and tours you have on your list. Plan your itinerary to include both must-see sights and off-the-beaten-path experiences to discover the places that aren't always highlighted. Sometimes that's where you find your favorites. 6. Barcelona, Spain: A Vibrant Spanish Getaway Kyle and Jen in Barcelona Barcelona is known for its stunning architecture, delicious food, and spicy atmosphere. My journey there was filled with tapas , art, and unforgettable sunsets over the Mediterranean Sea with the family. I was absolutely wowed with Gaudi architecture. I mean even the bathrooms in those buildings are breathtaking. The style is one of a kind and like nothing I've seen before. And the Sagrada? Wow! It doesn't seem real, it's like something out of a movie for sure. It's hard to appreciate the beauty of these things without seeing them in real life. Another once in a lifetime experience I'll treasure forever. Activities : Explore Gaudí’s masterpieces like the Sagrada Familia, relax on the beach, and indulge in tapas at local restaurants. Stroll hand in hand through the historic Gothic Quarter and enjoy the bustling energy of La Rambla. Gaudi Building in Spain Planning Tips : Consider visiting during the off-peak seasons to enjoy smaller crowds and lower rates. Book tickets for popular attractions in advance to skip the lines and avoid any added stress while on vacation. Try to learn a few basic Spanish phrases; or if you're like me, translate with your phone, the locals appreciate it! A Modern Barn Detroit Wedding Venue 7. Florida: An Adult Disney Honeymoon For couples who are young at heart, or want to stay in the U.S., Orlando Florida offers the magical experience of Disney World. An adult Disney honeymoon is an enchanting blend of nostalgia and romance, making it a truly unique experience when you don't have the littles with you. It's a completely different experience. Less lines, adult menus, ride all the rides your kids are too small for. An adult Disney trip isn't for everyone, but for some it can be the most romantic and special trip of their lives. Activities : Explore your favorite parks, from the magic of Magic Kingdom to the thrill of Epcot. Enjoy fine dining at signature restaurants throughout the park and indulge in a romantic evening at Disney Springs . Consider taking advantage of special experiences that are easier to do without the kiddos like guided tours or dessert parties for fireworks viewing. Planning Tips : Book accommodations on or near the Disney property for convenience. Make dining reservations WELL in advance, as popular restaurants fill up quickly sometimes a year in advance. Utilize the My Disney Experience app to manage your itinerary, dining, and FastPass selections which is a must. Planning the Perfect Honeymoon: Key Tips Budget Wisely : Establish a budget you are both comfortable with that covers accommodations, travel, activities, and dining. Research and stick to your budget to avoid overspending-we don't want to start the marriage with financial stress! Set Priorities : Discuss with your partner the most important aspects for your honeymoon. Is it relaxation, adventure, cultural experiences, or all three? Setting priorities will help you plan accordingly and more importantly, be on the same page as your partner. Create a Flexible Itinerary : While it’s essential to have a plan, it's equally essential to leave room for spontaneity. Some of the best experiences come from unexpected opportunities-like the thrift shop I visited in Paris and found the most unique pieces of clothing that I cherish to this day. Travel Insurance : Consider purchasing travel insurance for peace of mind, especially if you plan on traveling internationally. It can cover unexpected events, including cancellations and unforeseen medical emergencies. Bridal Shop in France Check Passports and Visas : If you’re traveling outside the U.S., ensure both of your passports are up to date and check if you need any visas to enter your destination. Capture the Memories : Document your honeymoon through photos, journaling, or even hiring a photographer for a session at your favorite destination. These memories will be cherished for a lifetime so go crazy, you can delete and filter later! Jennifer Wilson, Owner of Celestial Farms Wedding Venue Conclusion Your honeymoon destination should reflect your personal love story, filled with experiences that bring you closer together. Whether you choose the cozy mountains of Gatlinburg or the romance of Paris France, each destination offers something unique. • Planning the Perfect Micro Wedding: An Intimate Celebration of Love at your Detroit Wedding Venue

Micro weddings have surged in popularity, offering couples the opportunity to celebrate their union at their favorite Detroit Wedding Venue in a stress-free way. While they may be smaller in scale, micro weddings are no less magical than a wedding for 150+ guests. And there are endless opportunities for personalization and intimacy. Whether you’re drawn to the idea of a minimalist and simple celebration or looking to create a luxe event on a smaller scale, here’s your ultimate guide to finding the perfect Detroit Wedding Venue and planning the perfect micro wedding. What is a Micro Wedding? A micro wedding typically includes a guest list of 50 or less people. This allows you to focus on quality over quantity, allows couples to spend more time with each guest, and allocate their budget to create a highly personalized experience. If you want to heavily reduce the stress associated with large-scale wedding planning, a micro-wedding might be perfect for you! At Celestial Farms in Clio, Michigan , we’ve seen firsthand how micro weddings bring a unique charm to the overall wedding experience for our couples. It allows couples to focus on what truly matters: love, connection, and cherished moments. 1. Start with Your Vision Define What Matters Most Before diving into logistics, sit down with your partner and discuss your top priorities and wishes for your micro wedding. Is it a luxurious dining experience, a cozy ceremony under the stars, or dancing the night away with your closest friends and family? A clear vision will help guide every decision that needs to be made to create your dream wedding experience. Inspiration for Micro Weddings Micro weddings open the door to creative ideas: • Theme : Rustic chic, Vintage glamour, Modern minimalist, or fairy tale vibes. • Venues : Consider boutique hotels , gardens, or a diverse venue like Celestial Farms , which offers both charm and functionality. • Activities : Add personal touches like wine tastings , specialty food trucks , or even an artist to sketch pictures of you and your guests which is a great activity for a smaller wedding where the artist has plenty of time to allocate towards each drawing. 2. Crafting Your Guest List With a smaller guest count, you can be extremely intentional about who to invite. Focus on immediate family, your closest friends, and those who’ve played an important role in your life. Tips for Managing the Guest List • Limit plus-ones unless absolutely necessary. • Set boundaries kindly but firmly-this is a must! • Emphasize the intimacy of the event when explaining the limited capacity to avoid conflict. 3. Finding the Perfect Venue Micro weddings give you access to unique wedding venues that might not accommodate larger groups. Celestial Farms , for instance, shines for its versatility and intimate atmosphere. Our modern barn and outdoor spaces are ideal for gatherings that feel both cozy and elegant and always feel full wether you have 50 or 150 guests. Key Considerations: • Does the venue offer inclusive packages for smaller weddings? Celestial Farms will line you up with the best vendors in the industry according to your budget, style and preferences. • Is there flexibility for personalized touches? We always encourage our couples to let their personalties come out at their wedding. • What amenities (e.g., photo locations, catering options) are available? 4. Personalize Your Ceremony With fewer guests, you can create a deeply meaningful and unique ceremony. This is your chance to: • Write your own vows  for a personal touch. • Incorporate unique rituals like handfasting, tree planting, butterfly release or a family unity ceremony. • Add live music which can't be beat, or a close friend’s heartfelt reading. 5. Elevate the Dining Experience One of the biggest advantages of a small size wedding is the ability to splurge on exceptional food and handcrafted cocktails. Work with your caterer to design a personalized top notch menu that reflects you and your partners style. Ideas for an Intimate Dining Experience • Interactive Food Stations : From build-your-own charcuterie boards to live pasta stations- this is a fun experience for everyone. • Signature Cocktails : Collaborate with your bartender, like Casey from Cheers to You Bartending , to design delicious drinks named after milestones in your relationship. • Plated Service: With a small guest list a plated service makes sense. 6. Designing the Décor A micro wedding allows for more attention to detail when it comes to decor. With fewer tables to style, you can enhance each with layered linens, lush florals, custom place settings, and shiny glassware with our bar glass package for an elevated bar experience. Décor Tips for Small Weddings: • Use statement pieces, such as a floral arch or hanging installations like this beautiful piece from Bovan Floral Group. • Incorporate personal mementos, like photos or family heirlooms on display. • Make use of Celestial Farms’ diverse spaces and consider a late night activity under our pavilion with the twinkling lights shining bright and the fire pit blazing. 7. Photography and Videography Capturing the essence of your day is essential, especially for a micro wedding where every moment of the day is intentional. A talented photographer like Angie from Angela’s Angles Photography  can preserve those intimate memories beautifully, and will have more time to allocate to each activity with less guests to photograph. Talented Videographers such as With This Ring Film will capture memories that last a lifetime. Ideas for Photo Moments: • A private first look in our wooded trail. • A Celestial Farms Specialty: the sparkler send-off with your closest family and friends. • Photos on our tree swings. 8. Curating Entertainment Entertainment for a micro wedding can be both creative and personal. Whether you opt for a string quartet, a local acoustic artist, or a curated playlist from the best DJ's in Michigan, the key is to enhance the cozy ambiance. 9. Embrace the Intimacy Micro weddings give you the opportunity to be present with every one of your guests. Build moments into your timeline to connect with loved ones. For example: • Host a post-dinner toast, where each guest shares a memory or a well wish for the couple. • Include interactive elements, like a shared activities or group photos. 10. Budgeting for a Micro Wedding Smaller guest counts don’t always mean smaller budgets, but they do allow you to allocate funds more intentionally for the areas that mean the most to you. Splurge on the areas that matter the most to you, whether that’s gourmet catering, luxurious floral arrangements, or a honeymoon to your dream destination. 11. Make it Unforgettable with Unique Touches Custom Welcome Gifts Offer guests a welcome box with Michigan-made treats, customized treats, a mini bottle of bubbly, or a handwritten note. Personalized Favors Opt for meaningful keepsakes, like hand made candles or locally sourced honey jars. Incorporate Your Story Highlight your love story with subtle details, like naming tables after your favorite adventures or destinations you hope to visit one day or sharing a photo timeline. 12. • How to be a good wedding guest at Celestial Farms: A Michigan wedding venue.

How to be a good wedding guest at our Michigan wedding venue This is a guide on how to be a good wedding guest at Celestial Farms, a Michigan wedding venue. As a guest, being invited to share in this once in a lifetime wedding day is an honor. However, the role of a wedding guest comes with responsibilities that should be carefully considered. A bad wedding guest can unintentionally (or sometimes intentionally) disrupt the day, stress out the bride and groom, and leave a negative impression overall. To ensure you contribute to the happiness and success of the joyous event, here is a comprehensive guide on how to avoid being a bad wedding guest and, instead, become the perfect wedding attendee for your friends and loved ones. 1. RSVP Responsibly and on Time The first step in being a perfect wedding guest begins long before the actual wedding day. When you receive the invitation, carefully read it to understand who is invited, such as kids or just adults, and any special instructions regarding the RSVP. Responding on time is crucial. Weddings require extensive planning, and the couple needs to provide accurate head counts to caterers, venues, and many other vendors. If you miss the RSVP deadline, you put unnecessary stress on the couple, who may need to chase down your response which I personally see with almost every large wedding at Celestial Farms . Tip: If you know you can’t attend, kindly decline as soon as possible. If you’re attending, confirm immediately. Don’t assume the couple will automatically know your plans, even if you are a close family member or friend. 2. Respect the Invitation’s Guidelines One of the most common mistakes wedding guests make is misunderstanding or just flat out ignoring the specifics of the invitation. Pay close attention to details such as dress code, whether children are invited, and plus-one policies. If the invitation says “no kids,” don’t bring your kids, even if you think they’re the exception, no matter how close you are to the couple. Similarly, don’t assume you can bring a date if a plus-one wasn’t explicitly offered because that can throw off the final head count and guests may be left without a place to sit leaving them feeling uncomfortable. Tip: If you’re unsure about any part of the invitation, ask the couple or someone close to them for clarification, but always respect their wishes. 3. Dress Appropriately Understanding the wedding dress code is crucial to being a good respectful guest. Showing up underdressed or overdressed can make you look and feel out of place and may even offend the couple. Black-tie, formal, semi-formal, casual—these details matter. Avoid wearing white, as its traditionally reserved for the bride, and steer clear of anything too revealing or flashy -(full sequin dress) that might steal attention from the couple, no prom dresses allowed! Tip: If the invitation doesn’t specify a dress code, use context clues like the type of venue, indoor or outdoor facilities, and time of day to guide your choice. It’s always better to err on the side of being slightly overdressed than too casual, just don't go overboard. Visiting Celestial Farms? Give us a call and we'd be glad to help! 4. Be On Time Timing is everything on a wedding day. Arriving late to the ceremony can be disruptive and disrespectful. You may end up walking in during the bride’s entrance or another significant moment. At Celestial Farms we will stop all traffic pulling in and park them in an area that avoids disruption of the ceremony. If we can casually seat them without making a big deal we will. If not we will direct them to a viewing space that doesn't disrupt anything. Aim to arrive at least 15-30 minutes before the ceremony starts to assure time for parking and finding your seat. Tip: If you happen to arrive late despite your best efforts, because things do happen, wait until an appropriate break in the ceremony to quietly enter and find a seat in the back. 5. Respect the Ceremony The ceremony is the heart of every wedding day, and it should be treated with special care and love. Avoid unnecessary talking, fidgeting, or especially using your phone during this time. Sometimes couples request an unplugged ceremony. You should always refrain from taking photos or videos. Even if you’re allowed to take pictures, be discreet, and never obstruct the professional photographer as this is the number one problem for photographers at the wedding ceremony. Tip: Silence your phone before the ceremony begins, and resist the urge to check it. Your full attention should be on the ceremony during this meaningful moment, it will only last 15-30 minutes at most. 6. Follow Seating Arrangements If the bride and groom has gone to the trouble of creating a seating chart such as this beautiful one pictured above by Angela's Angles Photography , it’s for a reason. Don’t swap seats or tables just because you’d prefer to sit next to certain people. The couple has likely put thought into who will be seated together, this is the way they'd like it, and changing things up can disrupt the flow of the event, causing unnecessary stress for others. Tip: If you’re truly uncomfortable with your assigned seat, speak discreetly with a member of the wedding party or staff to see if any accommodations can be made, but avoid making a scene and make sure the bride and groom aren't bothered by this request, which is the most important part to abide by. 7. Mingle and Be Social Weddings are a time for celebration and connection with friends and family. While you may feel most comfortable sticking with people you know, make an effort to mingle with other guests and maybe make a new friend or two. Introduce yourself to those seated at your table and engage in polite conversation and small talk. Being a wallflower can sometimes come across as disinterest, and you don't want to make the bride and groom who have spent countless hours planning this special day, feel you aren't enjoying yourself. Remember, you’re there to celebrate the couple and it's one of the most important days of their lives so try to have a good time! Tip: If you’re shy, try asking how other guests know the couple, or sharing stories about the them. This can help break the ice and make you both feel more comfortable. 8. Be Mindful of the Couple’s Wishes Every couple has a unique vision for their wedding day, and at Celestial Farms - a Michigan wedding venue, we celebrate individualism. Some prefer a formal affair, while others want a laid-back and relaxed celebration. Respect their choices, even if they don’t align with your personal preferences for a wedding celebration. If the couple asks for a tech-free ceremony, follow their request no matter what. If they’ve arranged for a specific order of events, don’t try to alter it or rush things along or entering spaces that aren't ready yet. Stick with the crowd. Tip: The best way to support the couple is to go with the flow and embrace their vision for the day. Your flexibility and positivity will make the experience more enjoyable for everyone. 9. Watch Your Alcohol Consumption Weddings often include celebratory drinks, and it can be easy to get caught up in the festivities and have a few too many. However, overindulging can lead to embarrassing behavior and even create problems for the couple and the venue. Keep your alcohol consumption in check, and PLEASE know your limits. The last thing you want is to be remembered as the guest who embarrassed the bride and groom on their special day. Tip: Pace yourself with non-alcoholic beverages, drink some water and eat some food, and avoid peer pressure if others are encouraging you to drink more than you’re comfortable with. 10. Don’t Hog the Couple’s Time It’s natural to want to congratulate the bride and groom on their union and spend time with them, but remember that they have many guests to greet in a short period of time. Keep your conversations brief, and be mindful that others are also waiting to congratulate and visit with them as well. Tip: If you have something important to share with the couple, consider writing it in a card or saving it for a more private moment after the big day. 11. Be Respectful of Traditions and Cultural Customs Weddings often incorporate traditions or cultural customs that may be unfamiliar to you and your family. Whether it’s a religious practice, a cultural dance, or a specific way of doing things, be respectful and open-minded for the sake of your bride and groom and their families wishes. Avoid making negative comments or showing disinterest in the choices they've made, even if the traditions differ from your own experiences or ways of life. Tip: If you’re unsure about a particular custom, observe others and follow their lead. This will help you participate appropriately without feeling out of place. 12. Participate in the Festivities While you don’t need to be the life of the party, actively participating in the wedding festivities is a way to show your love and support for the couple. Whether it’s dancing, joining in on games they prepared, or partaking in group photos, your involvement contributes to the joyous atmosphere. Don’t be the guest who sits out on absolutely everything. Many guests who don't want to dance at Celestial farms will enjoy lounging around the fire pit on the patio, which is a popular activity here. Tip: Even if you’re not a dancer or feel shy about participating, at least try to join in for a few moments. Your enthusiasm will be noticed and appreciated. 13. Don’t Overstay Your Welcome Weddings can be long events, but they eventually come to an end-as all good things do! When the couple signals that it’s time to wind down, respect their wishes and start making your way out as soon as you feel safe to do so. Lingering too long after the event has officially ended can be inconvenient for the couple and especially the venue staff. But we always want our guests here at Celestial Farms to be sober before they get behind the wheel so we will make exceptions if necessary. Tip: If you want to offer extra congratulations or spend more time with the couple, consider arranging a meetup after the wedding instead of extending your stay at the wedding venue. Sometimes an after party is a great way to end the night! 14. Be Considerate When Posting on Social Media In today’s digital age, it’s tempting to share every moment of our day on social media. However, be mindful of the couple’s preferences for their wedding day. Some couples may request no social media posts until after the ceremony, while others may have specific hashtags they want guests to use for every picture they post. Respect these guidelines and avoid posting unflattering photos or videos that could embarrass not only the couple but the other guests as well. Perhaps send all of your pics to the couple and let them decide what to posy publicly. Tip: If you’re unsure about posting certain content, ask the couple for permission before sharing it online. This will ensure you respect their boundaries and avoid unnecessary conflict. 15. Show Gratitude Last but not least, remember to show gratitude for being a wedding guest. Thank the couple for inviting you to their special day, and express your appreciation. A simple thank you can go a long way in letting the bride and groom know that their efforts to create a beautiful wedding were recognized, enjoyed and appreciated. Tip: Consider sending a handwritten thank-you note after the wedding. This small gesture can leave a lasting positive impression. Conclusion: Being the Perfect Wedding Guest Attending a wedding is a privilege and an opportunity to share in the couple’s happiest day of their lives. By following these guidelines, you can avoid common guest mistakes and ensure that you contribute to the beautiful celebration in the best overall way possible. Remember, weddings are about love, joy, and community—your role as a wedding guest is to enhance that atmosphere, not detract from it. So, dress appropriately, be punctual, participate with enthusiasm, and most importantly, respect the couple’s wishes. With these tips in mind, you’ll undoubtedly be remembered as an ideal wedding guest, helping to make this wedding celebration's at Celestial Farms and every Michigan wedding venue as special and memorable as possible for everyone involved.
